Description

Originally a Private House. Now a Hall of Residence for Loughborough University acquired on the direction of Herbert Schofield. Mid/Late C19. Tudor/Gothic Revival styling. Various C20 alterations and additions. Red brick with extensive blue brick diaper-work. Multi-gabled clay tile pitched roofs with dormers and half dormers. Crow stepped gables to main elevation. Stone capped gables elsewhere. 3 storeys. Tall Tudor style gable stacks crowned by angled shafts with corbelled heads and terra cotta pots. Leaded light casement windows with stone mullions and stone surrounds. 2 storey stone capped chamfered brick bay to side elevation.
