Market cross, 1793. Stone and leaded dome. Classical open peristyle of 8 Tuscan columns supporting entablature and leaded dome with stone vase finial. This market cross with built by Sir John Danvers of Swithland Hall after he had removed the medieval cross to his own grounds. White?s Leicestershire and Rutland, 1877, and Pevsner. Scheduled ancient monument.
