Council tenants and leaseholders in Charnwood are being invited to a special event on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
The tenant networking event will take place at Shepshed Town Council offices on Charnwood Road, Shepshed from 10am until 2pm.
The event is the first in-person tenant networking event organised by the Council in 2024.
Council tenants and leaseholders can meet officers from the council and its partners, with great opportunities to ask questions and find out more about the services provided.
It is also a chance to access advice on managing money and rent, dealing with anti-social behaviour in the areas they live in and meeting other tenants and leaseholders from the borough.
The event is open to anyone who is a council tenant or leaseholder. There will be free refreshments and plenty of useful gifts and leaflets to take home.
You don’t need to book a space, and people can come and go as they please.
The council’s customer engagement team will also be on hand to sign tenants up to a variety of services, groups, forums and events.
Councillor Colin Hamilton, lead member for public and private sector housing at Charnwood Borough Council, said: “I am looking forward to meeting more tenants and leaseholders at the latest networking event.
“We had a good turnout at the Loughborough and Syston events last year, and I hope that tenants from Shepshed and neighbouring villages will attend.
“Our brilliant and knowledgeable officers will be on hand to answer questions about our services and signpost people to the information and advice that they need. Do come along, even if it just to say hello and to have a tea or coffee with fellow tenants.”
For more information about this and future networking events, tenants and leaseholders can contact the customer engagement team on 01509 634955 or 01509 634679, and via email at email@example.com.
