We teamed up with the National Forest and our contractor idverde to run a free tree scheme.
The scheme will result in 5,000 free trees being given to residents and community groups throughout Charnwood.
Please note: All of the free trees have been allocated and applications are now closed.
We'll soon be distributing the trees from two locations in the borough.
- Saturday January 25, 2020, 10am-3pm – Derby Road Playing Fields, Loughborough, LE11 5FJ
Additional Syston collection date
Residents who were unable to collect their free tree from Syston on January 18 will have another chance on Tuesday January 28, 2020 from the Syston Town Council Offices, School Street, Syston.
Please come along between one of the below times with your confirmation email and collect your trees.
The trees will be approximately 20cm – 40cm when they are collected. Each resident who applies for a free tree will be given a guide on how to look after them properly.
idverde manages the borough’s parks and open spaces on behalf of the Council.
The National Forest is right in heart of the country, embracing 200 square miles of the Midlands. It spans across parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire and aims to link the two ancient Forests of Charnwood and Needwood.
