Free trees scheme

We are currently running a reduced garden waste collection service. Your bin will be emptied once this month. For more information, please visit www.charnwood.gov.uk/gwr.

We teamed up with the National Forest and our contractor idverde to run a free tree scheme.

The scheme resulted in over 6,000 free trees being given to residents, community groups and parish councils throughout Charnwood.

The scheme will return again later this year.

idverde manages the borough’s parks and open spaces on behalf of the Council.

The National Forest is right in heart of the country, embracing 200 square miles of the Midlands. It spans across parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire and aims to link the two ancient Forests of Charnwood and Needwood.
