Performance and Audit Scrutiny Committee
Role
Acts as the Council's "audit committee", including approval of the annual Statement on Internal Control.
Reviews and monitors risk management issues.
Scrutinising Best Value reports and other issues relating to the strategic aim "A well-managed Council".
Monitoring performance across the range of Council services and reviewing and recommending action relating to under-performance.
Ensuring that services are performing in support of the front-line.
