Public toilets

Public toilets operated by the Council are currently closed.

This includes Market Place, Biggin Street and Queen's Park facilities.

We apologise for any inconvenience and will look to resume the services as soon as possible.

General information

There are public toilets situated in three locations in Loughborough and there is a charge of 20p for use of Charnwood's public toilets.

The coin machines take various coinage but please note that they do not issue change.

Disabled toilets are free with the use of a radar key.

All facilities are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

RADAR keys

We provide RADAR keys free of charge to all disabled people in the borough. RADAR keys are part of a National Key Scheme to ensure that accessible toilets are kept safe and free from vandalism. RADAR keys for our 15 National Key Scheme toilets are available from:

To obtain a RADAR key you will need to bring:

  • Some form of identification
  • Proof of disability
  • Proof of residency in Charnwood
