Supplementary Planning Guidance

The Borough Council have adopted the following Supplementary Planning Guidance. These explain in more detail particular policies of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan. The Council has also produced a number of Supplementary Planning Documents that you should refer to.

Backland & Tandem Development

  The original SPG was adopted by the Council in 2001. Changes to certain of its standards have been formally adopted in subsequent guidance and are, therefore, relevant. The above link will take you to the original document with the amendments highlighted in red.

  In respect of spacing standards, these are to found in our Leading in Design Supplementary Planning Document where Appendix 4 applies, and, for access-related standards, in the County Council's Highways Transportation and Development (link below), which provides much more detailed guidance.
