ICT Strategy

Due to high demand, the deadline for bulky waste collections at 3pm today has been brought forward to 1pm. Any collections booked after will now be collected on Saturday August 24 and not Monday August 19. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The Ict Strategy 2016 - 2021 (PDF Document, 0.66 Mb) sets out the Council's approach to using and improving ICT for the next five years -  

In broad terms it seeks to;

  • Assess the Council's current ICT capabilities
  • Identify the principal business challenges that will be addressed using ICT solutions
  • Set out a roadmap for implementing the objectives the strategy

The Strategy was approved by Cabinet on 12th May 2016 and was developed with the three objectives in mind;

  1. Customer agenda - to enable customers to access the Council's services online and have their requirements fulfilled, where practical, through digital solutions
  2. Business agenda - to enable the Council services to make effective use and obtain the maximum benefit from the use of ICT
  3. Technical agenda - to provide a robust, reliable, effective and resilient infrastructure for the efficient delivery of ICT
