We have a number of garages across the borough that are available for rent.
To rent a council garage, you must be over the age of 18 years.
More information can be found on the garage sites in Charnwood webpage.
Council garage features
- The standard size of garages is 8ft x 12ft, although there are exceptions throughout the borough.
- T-handle type garage door locks are fitted as standard and two keys are supplied.
- External lighting is provided at some locations, however, the majority of our garage sites are remote and so are away from a power source.
Cost of renting a council garage
The cost of renting a council garage varies depending on the location and size of the garage. Currently, rents for council garages range from £6.77 to £10 per week (excluding VAT).
Rent must be paid a week in advance. Garage tenants who have fallen into arrears and who persistently miss rent payments risk losing their garage.
