The Loughborough RSPB Group present a talk - Scotland - Wildlife of the highlands by Sue Ablett.
This very popular talk is based on a Wildlife Safari week spent at Aigas Field Studies Centre in the Scottish Highlands. It shows the variety of stunning scenery accessible from Aigas, and demonstrates the ups and downs of wildlife spotting. It also looks at some interesting wildlife conservation projects.
Sue has always loved to travel, and over the years has been fortunate enough to visit many countries across every continent. Travel Talks gives her the opportunity to share some of the wonderful places and experiences with a wide range of audiences and groups. When not travelling, Sue is a keen runner, cyclist, loves walking her dog across the fields and gardening and does a range of charity work.
Latest venture was to found and lead a Festival of Words in Evesham, Worcestershire three years ago - her home town where she now spends around half her life.
We get the best speakers and also have one of the best lecture theatres on the Loughborough University campus - tiered padded seats. wheelchair access and a sound system with a hearing loop - it is of more than adequate size for our audience, which gives everybody that bit of extra space.
A selection of wild bird food is usually available for sale.
