Gorse Covert is almost 4 hectares and lies to the north-west of Loughborough.
It is popular with local residents and the can be accessed through the open space around Maxwell Drive and Stewart Drive (LE11 5PT).
It is dominated by oak, ash and sycamore and has a wide central ride. Originally part of the Garendon Estate, it was used for game birds.
