‘Better Business for All’ is the LLEP's (Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership) response to supporting the national priority of reducing regulatory burdens on business to aid economic recovery, whilst protecting the rights of consumers, workers and residents.
The aim of the partnership is to create the conditions for an effective and efficient local regulatory system to support business growth through removing real and perceived regulatory barriers. A Partnership Charter has been signed by all organisations involved in the programme.

A collection of articles regarding the work we have done so far in the Better Business For All project is now available; these were featured in the Leicester Mercury:
- Better Business for All Supplement (PDF Document, 8.57 Mb)
To help business in Leicestershire the LLEP have also launched The LLEP Business Gateway for new and existing enterprises. They also offer a variety of business grants.
The web based tool called 'talk to reg' enables businesses in our area to find contact details of the regulatory services they need to speak to by entering the postcode of the business premises.
There is guidance available for running a business from your home address, it looks at how you start a business from home and has helpful advice on tax, planning and business rates.
In this section of the website we will be posting businesses’ comments from feedback forms – for example a food business proprietor recently made the following comment:
“I found the inspecting officer very professional yet friendly and approachable which made the process less stressful and more useful experience. I felt that this approach really encouraged co-operation and understanding as issues were discussed and understood more easily”
"Thanks for your letter and certification regarding tattoo studio, and for your constructive and helpful guidance throughout our application"
"Thank you so much for a visit down to my humble home and all the help given to make my small business a success. Thank you again"
We would like to thank all businesses for their comments as the feedback plays an important part in improving our service delivery.
