We found and resolved a large number of issues during our estate walkabouts in 2023.

We wanted to let you know what we found at the walks and what we did about it.

Rothley – 13 September

Issues identified

Outcomes

Four repairs identified at Green-way Close

All reported: Damaged garage door; cracked tarmac at garages; problem with fascias; front and rear doors at a tenant’s home.

Three grounds maintenance problems identified

Overgrown foliage in rear garden of an empty property at Babington Road to be cut back. Two small trees that are encroaching onto the pavement at Greenway Close to be cut back. Moss on the ground near Greenway Close garages to be treated.

East Goscote – 16 May

Nine repairs’ issues identified

Vegetation growth in gutters at 1-21 Fleury Court has been cleared.

Re-cementing of roof tiles at 30 Yeomans Dale has been completed.

Various repair issues have been booked into planned works at Fleury Court, including:

  • Removal of Ivy on Exterior Wall and cleaning out/repair of gutters.
  • Repairing of the render on the exterior wall.
  • Re-pointing of bricks on the side elevation.
  • Repair to flashing on front elevation.

Facia and soffits to be reviewed at Yeomans Dale, along with a survey of the outhouse doors and redecoration of the fencing.

Two anti-social behaviour issues discussed

Two separate complaints of Anti-Social behaviour were discussed with the Anti-Social Behaviour Officer and appropriate advice was given.

One community investment opportunity identified

The Community Engagement Team will be assisting to place a tenant bid for new communal seating or benches in the communal enclosure at 1-21 Fleury Court.

Two grounds maintenance issues identified

Ivy to be removed at 4 Fleury Court.

Moss to be removed and overgrown weeds to be trimmed at 1-21 Fleury Court.

Anstey – 15 June

Repairs

Query regarding a level access shower at Ashfield Drive has been reported to the asset management team.

Leaking guttering at 19 Papermill Close has been reported.

A request for an improved security gate and fencing at Papermill Close was reported to the repairs team.

Two anti-social behaviour issues discussed

Two separate complaints of anti-social behaviour were discussed with the anti-social behaviour officer and appropriate advice was given.

Grounds Maintenance

The overgrown foliage in the garden of 64 Ashfield Drive has been cut back.
