Consultation on Gambling Policy 2019 – 2022

Charnwood Borough Council is required under Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005, to review consult and publish a Gambling Policy every 3 years.  Our current policy became effective in 2016 and must be reviewed and re-published by 31st January 2019.

The proposed Statement of Principles has ‘tracked changes’, which makes it’s easier for everyone to see the changes being consulted upon.

The following changes have been made to the previous Statement of Principles:

  • Changes to dates
  • The Contents page numbering will be finalised after consultation
  • Change to 1.2 to reflect population numbers
  • Changes to 1.8 to reflect new data protection legislation
  • Section 2.0 – Local Risk Assessments and Social Responsibility Code amended to give more detail as to the Local Area Profile for Charnwood.
  • General update changes throughout

The consultation ends on Friday September 14, 2018.
