0-5 year-olds

We are aiming to work across the whole borough of Charnwood to create physical activity opportunities for families and children aged up to five years.

Please check the activities below which are specifically targeting the youngest residents of Charnwood.

Mini Mover sessions

Mini Mover sessions are fun, physical activity aimed at 0-4 year olds, which include songs and movement. Each activity is designed to get parents moving and playing along with their children, whilst developing the child’s fine and gross motor skills, eye tracking and spatial awareness.

The following sessions are available for you to attend every week during school term time only, running from 10am - 11am at all the venues. Starting again after the May half-term, week commencing June 4, 2018 and running up to the school Summer Holidays.

  • Monday: Loughborough Baptist Church Hall, LE11 1TG
  • Tuesday: St Botolphs Church Hall, Shepshed, LE12 9RJ
  • Thursday: Soar Valley Leisure Centre, Mountsorrel, LE12 7FG
  • Friday: Elizabeth Park Sports Hall, Thurmaston, LE4 8FN

The prices for each session are £1.50 for one child, £2.50 for two children and £3.50 for three or more children


Mighty Mover sessions

There are no planned Might Mover sessions at the moment.


Kids Run Free

We hold free running events for children aged zero-16 on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. All abilities are welcome and families are invited to come along for support or join in with their children. Each run takes place at Southfields Park, Loughborough, LE11 2TX from 08:45am.

Don't forget to register your child before attending your first event in order to receive your membership card. You'll receive your race card at the first event and be able to start collecting stamps to trade in for free gifts.
