Rents of allotments are reviewed annually.

In 2023/24, the annual rent for an allotment on a permanent site is £26.80 per 100 sq. yards/84 sq. metres.

Due to the variation in plot sizes, the rental cost will be supplied when a plot tenancy is offered.

Rent includes water charges, site maintenance and removal of garden waste.

Please note: There is also a £10 key deposit for each site.

Concessions

50% Concessionary rates are available for people who meet the following criteria:

  • You are aged 60 or over - We will require a form of ID showing your date of birth i.e., a passport, driving licence or bus pass
  • You are a student - we will require a copy of your Council Tax student certificate.

If you are applying for a concession, you must upload the evidence to your application and you will be asked to show the original copy to the Allotment officer when you view the offered plot.

If you’re an existing plot holder who now meets any of the above criteria and would like to apply for a Concession, then you can let us know using the below online form by uploading the relevant evidence.
