We’ve been made aware that roadworks are due to begin from 10am on Friday April 26 on Dustmoor Drive, Inglesant Close, Fewkes Close and Turlington Close in Quorn. As a result, our bin crews are asking residents to ensure their bins are presented for collection from 6am.

The online report form for anti-social behaviour will be undergoing essential maintenance from 1-2.30pm on Thursday April 25. The form will be unavailable during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The Environmental Health team are receiving a number of calls from concerned residents regarding emissions that they are witnessing from the new Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) at Newhurst Quarry site Shepshed.

The plant is currently undergoing testing and commissioning which is resulting in some visible and potentially unpleasent smelling emissions.

The site is permitted by the Environment Agency. The EA have advised concerned residents to report emissions from Newhurst Quarry to the their incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60.

The hotline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
