Leicestershire Sustainable Travel Challenge
LeicestershireSTC is a website and app that unlocks prizes and shopping deals the more you travel sustainably. Users earn 'Stravel Points' for every mile they travel by walking, cycling, running, using public transport or car sharing.
Download the app for free or register online at www.LeicestershireSTC.org.uk
Alternatively you can download timetables and maps to plan your public transport journey or telephone 08712 002233 (every day, 7am-10pm).
Car Share Schemes
Choose How You Move Carshare is a free, secure online service that enables car sharing for people making the same journey. Car sharing does not mean sharing the ownership of your car, it is a way of sharing a regular or one-off journey by either offering people a lift or asking for a lift.
Local air travel
East Midlands Airport is located just 8 miles (13km) north west of Loughborough and is a key national and regional asset.
We are represented on the Airport Consultative Committee; this is so that we can try our best to ensure that the airport's operations result in the minimum practical interference with residents of Charnwood.
For more information please refer to the Department for Transport's website.
