Charnwood Community Lottery was created to provide local Good Causes with a FREE, sustainable, online fundraising solution.
It continues to help raise thousands of pounds for the local community in a fun and effective way.
Do you have a child in a community group / club that could use this? Or maybe you are part of an association or group yourself? Perhaps there is a charity that is dear to your heart that you know could really use this fantastic opportunity to raise funds?
Many local groups across Charnwood continue to benefit from being part of the lottery including Quorn History Group. Dennis Merchant from the group said: “The lottery is great for those groups which may need just a little additional funding and I’d encourage any other community groups in Charnwood to looking at registering as a good cause.”
Bradgate Park Trust joined the lottery at the very start and have been delighted with the results: “There’s no cost to us to be part of the lottery and the money raised is used to help us feed our herd of 600 deer during the winter months. One person supporting the trust by playing the lottery for a year covers the cost of feeding one deer which is £26. Many of our supporters have won prizes including one lucky winner of £2000.”
We know it sounds too good to be true, but it really isn't. There are no upfront costs and if you're a local not-for-profit organization you can register here to use the lottery today. You get your very own lottery web page and your own bespoke marketing materials and support to help with year-round fundraising.
Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week and 50% of each ticket goes directly to the player's chosen Good Cause with an additional 10% going to the Community Fund which is used to further support local good causes. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance of winning a prize each week with a top prize of £25,000! So, whether you win a prize or not, you're already winning by investing in your local community.
