Community partnership working

Due to essential maintenance being carried out by Pay360, customers may experience online payment disruptions on Sunday July 5 between 4:30-6:30am and Tuesday July 7 between 6-7am. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Residents in Leicester and its outlying areas, including Birstall, Thurmaston and Wanlip in Charnwood, are to be asked to continue to follow stricter lockdown restrictions for at least two weeks, and non-essential shops will be closed. More information - including frequently asked questions and a postcode checker - can be found at www.charnwood.gov.uk/restrictions.

If you'd like to make a difference to the area in which you live, we can help.

To tackle areas blighted by litter, why not get together with friends, colleagues, community groups or residents associations to make a real difference.

Keep Britain Tidy

Keep Britain Tidy runs a national clean-up campaign, and we'd like you to get involved. There's lots of advice on on how to go about organising a litter pick at www.thebigtidyup.org.

We can support litter picks throughout the year by supplying litter pickers and bags, and will take away the litter that you've collected at the end of your clean up.

To get involved, visit the website to register, then email cleaner.greener@charnwood.gov.uk to book your litter pickers and collections.
